The student will learn to do Swim-FLoat-Swim independently and then progress on to do it repetitively for long distances without needing to follow a teacher. They will prepare for the ability to fall into a pool, swim & recover for air, and then return to the point of entry. The Advanced Water Safety Drill at the end of GRADE 4+ is optional. It can be skipped and done at the end of GRADE 5+. And even then, the actual drill is not necessary if they are clearly completely competent and competent swimmers able to swim any length, in any depth.
